Future Large Bore Series - Medium Speed Engines
June 10, 2021 | 8.30am (Detroit) | 2.30pm (Paris) | 6.00pm (Mumbai)
In both, marine as well as in power generation sectors, defossilization will play a major role in engine development besides pollutant emissions reduction in the upcoming years. Fuels like ammonia and methanol, derived from green energy, are already discussed as successors of fossil oil on the marine side, hydrogen on the power sector. How will fuel flexibility and defossilization shape the future of large engines? Are further ICE improvements still possible for clean and low-CO2 powertrains? What will be the role of advanced controls and how could the availability of large amounts of data and a possible further digitalization influence the utilization of engines, for example by predictive algorithms? Follow the FEV large bore online seminar series and we will provide first answers to these challenging questions, accompanied by an open discussion.
