Working for the FEV in Aachen

The Meuse-Rhine Euroregion, where the city of Aachen is located, unifies the border provinces of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in one economic zone, that profits by a great diversity and interaction. In this international oriented environment are the headqaurters of the FEV GmbH, the Technical Centers in Alsdorf and the Aldenhoven Testing Center, where FEV undertakes the bulk of their test runs, located.

The economic zone Aachen is affected by the engineering - last but not least as a result of the high-qualified graduates of the RWTH Aachen University. The founder of FEV, Prof. Franz Pischinger, held the chair of Applied Thermodynamcis at the RWTH Aachen University at the time of the foundation in 1978. The close collaboration of FEV and the RWTH Aachen University enables promising and forward-looking research in the framework of powertrain engineering.

The life in the city of hot springs and horses, famous through Charlemagne, is shaped by the history and the future. The city got well-known for its universities and its Printen. The ancient buildings, museums and pubs in the picturesque old town complete the variety of life in the Imperial city truly young at heart.
