  • FEV's IT is in a state of change and we want to continuously develop the IT landscape in a future-oriented manner. For this project we are looking for a working student who will support us actively.

    In our CIO Office we need support in the following areas:

    • Analysis and optimization of processes
    • Definition and modeling of processes
    • Requirements engineering for process changes
    • Implementation of digitization projects
    • Creation and maintenance of process documentation
    • Preparation and execution of presentations
    • Current vehicle via flow- or structural analysis
    • Mesh preparation based on the actual component
    • Independent setup of the simulation model and execution of simulations
    • Validation of the simulation results using available experimental data
    • Preparation of a written thesis
  • As a lead engineer fuel cell system (m/f/x), you will play a major role in system development in demonstration and series projects. You will be involved in the projects from the initial concept to the build-up and testing of the fuel cell systems.  In this role, you will independently improve our development processes to solve complex system engineering problems. The lead systems engineer is the central technical link to the other development teams (controls, design, E/E) and ensures the technical exchange of information.

    The following tasks await you: 

    • Requirements management for fuel cell systems from the cell level to the entire system
    • Derive and create specifications for stacks and auxiliaries (balance of plant)
    • Develop and implement concepts for fuel cell system functionality based on customer requirements, system modeling and benchmarks
    • Design system process flow diagrams (P&IDs), interface control diagrams, lead hazard, safety, and reliability analyses           
    • Develop concepts for the operational management of PEM fuel cell stacks
    • Perform and guide 0D and 1D fuel cell system simulations and maintain interface with powertrain simulations
    • Lead the development of Design Validation Plans (DVP) and associated methodologies (DVM) and guide engineers in the execution and documentation of required tests
    • Coordinate the implementation of test tasks in the test field and at external test facilities
    • Technical documentation of concepts, simulation, and test results
    • Responsibility for (sub-)project coordination and ensuring cost, quality, and schedule compliance
  • As project engineer E/E for fuel cell systems (m/f/x) you are the contact in the system development team for the E/E topics of the fuel cell system. In doing so, you will define requirements for the E/E systems and create safe HV architectures for fuel cell systems according to the state of the art.

    The following tasks await you:

    • Engineer (m/f/x) for E/E development of fuel cell systems
    • Requirements management of E/E components such as the PDU ("Power Distribution Unit"), power electronics, the LV or HV wiring harness within the fuel cell system, FCCU hardware, etc.
    • E/E and EMC calculations and simulations
    • Derivation of specifications for E/E components (e.g. PDU, DC/DC or FCCU)
    • Creation of E/E layouts and schematics
    • HV safety
    • Test and validation planning including execution of tests on test benches on component and vehicle level considering national as well as international regulations and standards
  • As Fuel Cell Subsystem Manager (m/f/x) you are the central contact for the cathode, anode or thermal subsystem of a fuel cell system and are technically responsible for your subsystem. In doing so, you will create specifications for the auxiliaries of the respective subsystems, ensure the fulfillment of technical requirements and monitor the adherence to schedules. You will perform these tasks in both demonstration and series projects across the various sample phases.

    The following tasks await you: 

    • Requirements management for fuel cell subsystems (cathode, anode, cooling system).
    • Derive and create specifications for the individual auxiliary components (balance of plant) of the respective subsystems
    • Ensuring that all technical requirements are fulfilled
    • Responsibility for (sub-)project coordination and ensuring that costs, quality and deadlines are met 
    • Coordination with suppliers, internal development departments involved and the customer
    • Obtaining all relevant component information for the development teams involved (e.g. design, system simulation, E/E, etc.)
    • Function development for battery management systems (BMS) for high- and low-voltage batteries
    • Identification and management of functional requirements
    • Interface specification, especially to hybrid control unit, charger, DCDC, IPU
    • Implementation of BMS functions in MATLAB/Simulink
    • Specification of XiL-testcases and analysis of respective test results
    • Startup and calibration of functions with application tools like INCA, CANape
    • Test bench and vehicle integration support
    • Business trips abroad
  • What you will do:

    • Daily cash report

    • Monthly Liquidity report for FEV entities

    • Collect and quality check of the Overdue data files from FEV entities

    • Weekly AR overdues tracking with FEV entities

    • Weekly presentation for the Management Board

    • Several presentations: Cash balance optimization, Inputs for AR& Liquidity, Invoicing ticker analysis

    • Development and automation of the embedded software toolchain for a premium OEM in Munich
    • Definition of concepts, requirements and validation approaches for the work products to be developed
    • Implementation and optimization of the software development process
    • Programming of generic tools as well as configuration and integration of commercial tools
    • Support of code generation and software integration of automotive embedded software in the domains of electrification & powertrain, ADAS / AD, connectivity and others
    • Review and ensuring AUTOSAR compliance
    • Technical, proactive coordination of workflows and tools with customers and suppliers
    • Cross-location coordination with colleagues regarding technical and organizational content
    • Management and responsibility of complete battery validation process
    • Development and set-up of function-, design- and product validation test plans in correspondence with customer and other sub project teams
    • Organisation and planning of internal and external test benches
    • Writing detailed test specifications together with Test Engineer
    • Manage test preparation including organization of Hardware (fixtures, sensors, HV/LV interfaces) and on software related topics (signal input/output with the help of BMS Team)
    • Responsibility and presentation of deliverables to customer
