Diesel Powertrains 3.0

Two requirements drive the entire transportation industry nowadays: the substantial reduction of GHG emissions towards a carbon-neutral mobility by 2050 and the reduction of pollutant emission to meet air quality requirements even in the most congested urban areas. The electrification of the transport system supports both requirements. Nevertheless, new, alternative propulsion systems are still facing significant challenges for a larger market penetration, as the operational capability and costs do not meet all customer requirements. Not only industry experts are calling for further refined and optimized powertrains as key element in the upcoming transition from ICE-based powertrains to electric propulsion systems in a larger scale.

Despite the ongoing public discussion the modern Diesel engine represents a highly attractive powertrain. The latest developments demonstrate, that Diesel-powered vehicles are among the cleanest vehicles available in the marketplace, while maintaining their superior fuel economy compared to other propulsion systems. Its high efficiency positions the Diesel engine as an attractive element for future powertrain lineups, even under more tightened regulatory boundary conditions and simultaneously altering market conditions.

Due to this year’s exceptional situation, we decided to alter our upcoming event “Diesel Powertrains 3.0”. The conference will be held online as a digital conference – coming directly to you at your working place, without travel efforts. You just need a PC and a stable internet connection. You will have the opportunity to join the presentations online and submit questions. The online registration and the new conference program can be accessed now.

As a highly focused engineering community meeting, the event will provide valuable in-depth insights into novel and upcoming technological innovations for the next generation of sustainable, Diesel-engine propulsion systems. Register for the digital conference as an attendee to secure your ticket.
