Air Resources Board Recognizes FEV, Inc. as Independent Emission Test Laboratory
California’s Air Resources Board adds FEV to nationwide list of recognized labs
Auburn Hills, Mich., Sept. 5, 2012 – FEV, Inc., (FEV) a leading developer of advanced powertrain and vehicle technologies, announced today that California’s Air Resources Board (ARB) has recognized FEV, Inc. as an independent laboratory properly equipped to perform various emissions testing in accordance with applicable federal and California regulations for heavy-duty diesel engines for on-road applications. Gary Rogers, president and CEO of FEV, Inc., made the announcement.
Recognition was based on laboratory information and test data submitted by FEV. Specifically, ARB recognizes FEV’s laboratory, located at its North American Technical Center in Auburn Hills, Mich., as equipped to perform:
- Heavy-duty diesel engine transient Federal Test Procedures (HDE FTP transient)
- Supplemental Emission Test, steady-state testing with Ramped Modal Cycle (SET/RMC)
- Not To Exceed test procedures (NTE)
- Part 1065 compliant equipment/instruments
FEV joins a select list of laboratories that have been recognized by the ARB to perform these specialized tests. Specifically, FEV joins only two other laboratories recognized by ARB as equipped to operate as Part 1065 compliant.
