Quo Vadis Fuels?
Review: FEV Conference “Advanced fuels for Sustainable Mobility” at Nürburgring
What are the outlines of sustainable fuel and powertrain concepts? How can fuels help to improve efficiency and environmental safety of combustion engines? Which must be fulfilled by future fuels to become advanced and sustainable fuel concepts?
These and further questions were discussed by leading experts from research, automotive, fuels and refining industry at the international FEV conference „Advanced fuels for Sustainable Mobility“ on 04 and 05 November 2014.
With support from BP, Daimler, MTU, Shell and Volkswagen FEV brought both unique worlds of automotive and fuels and refining industry into the common focus. A platform for further discussions was provided with keynotes by Dr H.D.C. Hamje, Concawe, and Dr T. Lösche-ter Horst, Volkswagen AG.
In addition, the forward-looking contributions of high-level speakers from Audi, BASF, Daimler, Delphi, FEV, Ford, Global Bioenergies, MTU, Neste Oil, Nissan, RWTH Aachen, Shell, Toyota, TU Braunschweig, UPM, Volkswagen and Volvo Car offered a great basis for in-depth discussions.
The conference hotel Dorint “Am Nürburgring”, just aside to the world-renowned race track as well as the evening event in the motorsport museum “Ringwerk” with race track feeling and presentation provided an unparalleled framework for the whole conference.
