  • We are looking for a smart, automotive passionate candidate with strong engineering skills to join our team working on some of the FEV crucial projects. Depending on your qualification you can participate in one of our new numerical simulation projects concerning (1) cooling system and thermal management simulation, (2) vehicle simulation and powertrain concept layout or (3) combustion and calibration analysis. 

    • Your tasks depending on the project:

      • simulation of energy and heat flux distribution within complete hybrid and conventional powertrains
      • evaluation of longitudinal vehicle dynamics, fuel consumption and exhaust emissions
      • evaluation of combustion process efficiency

    • Development of numerical models in GT-Suite (optional: MATLAB/Simulink)
    • Preparation of reports and presentation of results for customers
    • Technical lead for e-motor activities at FEV
    • Electromagnetic analysis of motors
    • Thermal analysis of e-motors
    • Analysis and validation of designs with FEA calculations in both 2D and 3D
    • Characterize machine performance for basic sizing and performance estimations using analytical tools
    • Trade-off studies to identify motor topology
    • Contribute in customizing tool sets for motor analysis
    • Close cooperation with internal development departments, customers and suppliers
    • Internal and external presentation of project results
    • Support of acquisition work in the field of electric motor development
    • Feature or component responsible engineer for Body and Comfort topics
    • Specification of use cases, customer features and requirements
    • Alignment with and coordination of internal and external stakeholders (time schedule, feature rollout plan, interface definition, change management, reporting to management/customer)
    • Supplier management
    • Support of vehicle and test bench (HIL) testing activities
    • Release recommendation for feature/component
    • Participate in continuous improvement of existing functions, methods and processes
    • Work with the system engineering and functional safety teams to meet the end-user/customer objectives through a structured (model-based) system engineering approach
    • Feature or component responsible engineer for HMI/Multimedia topics
    • Specification of use cases, customer features and requirements
    • Alignment with and coordination of internal and external stakeholders (time schedule, feature rollout plan, interface definition, change management, reporting to management/customer)
    • Supplier management
    • Support of vehicle and test bench (HIL) testing activities
    • Release recommendation for feature/component

    • Supporting for the 3D CFD simulation
    • Mesh generation in Starccm+
    • Setup of the CFD model
    • Analysis of the results, generating CFD plots
    • Collect and evaluate the Safety Requirements from customer/legal/standards
    • Create the Safety Concept (Functional, Technical)                    
    • Specify the System Safety Requirements and system architecture                    
    • Support System Verification and Validation                    
    • Participate in Safety Analyses (HARA, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA, DFA)                    
    • Support the Safety Assessment                    
    • Create and track the Safety Plan                    
    • Create the DIA with customer and supplier                    
    • Communicate safety topics to project manager, developer and customer
    • Technical lead for functional safety engineering team, and act as functional safety manager for out project
    • Collaborate with project managers, development teams, customers on the development of the Safety activities, which are defined by Functional Safety process in support of ISO 26262
    • Lead vehicle level functional safety requirement development and safety-oriented architecture design for solution and consulting projects
    • Lead ECU level functional safety implementation, including SW and HW oriented development for solution and consulting projects
    • Responsible for the analysis and acceptance of safety related documentation, including but not limited to HARAs, FMEAs, FMEDAs and qualitative/quantitative FTAs
    • Perform verification and conformation activities as defined in the safety plan
    • Support external certification, audits and/or assessments as required
    • Organize, lead and monitor the technical interface with suppliers for electric powertrain development, mentor the detail technical issue    
    • Establish and monitor the technical requirement for suppliers and deliverables from suppliers
    • Coach the team and lead project engineer to fulfil EV/HEV project development 
    • Key person with internal risk groups to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant requirements      
    • Key partner with appropriate stakeholders on negotiations for all managed third-party relationships
    • Key person to resolve performance-related issues/escalations with third parties
    • Plan and conduct periodic third-party business reviews, including appropriate internal and external stakeholders in such reviews      
    • Key responsibility for proper invoice review, reconciliation and payment
    • Key responsibility for managing all third party-related audits
    • Project progress management, Make the project time plan, define the specific goals of each project, evaluate the project progress      
    • Budget management, confirm budget requirements with client, follow up the project to ensure that the planned resources and budget are met      
    • Project coordination Coordinate internal (quality planning, production planning, etc.) and external (supplier, customer, etc.) contacts      
    • Organize/report project data Project progress has clearly documented input requirements in the PM system     
    • Project control Follow up project progress, cooperate with project team members to solve problems at any time      
    • Communicate with client to get clear project requirement and explain the task to team member
    • Organize, lead and monitor function development of xCU, mentor the detail technical issue
    • Audit the technical requirement, coach the team and lead project engineer to fulfil EV/HEV project development
    • Recognize the risk in the process of project development and handle it
    • Organize the calibration task of xCU and review the calibration data
