ADAS and Car2X
FEV is developing ADAS and Car2X hardware and software applications for connected vehicles. We are involved with numerous Connected Vehicle programs from requirements development, hardware design, software algorithm and application development, to test and validation activities.
Vehicle Intellidrive Module
Our Vehicle IntelliDrive Module is a flexible, open controller (OBE platform) for DSRC applications. Different DSRC radios can be connected and used for various applications and testing. V2X functions include emergency vehicle signal interrupt, traffic flow optimization, traffic and hazard notification, active safety management, etc.
This platform is designed to interface with existing vehicles' data-bus using OBD-II and is ideal for interoperability testing. Modular hardware and software system design allows for upgrades and functionality additions.

Car2X and Consulting
FEV can design or consult for your DSRC applications, requirements and system implementations. This includes working with the state and local government to prepare your implementation or test environment, install and interface the necessary RSEs with traffic light controllers, provide internet access for data communication, and assure data security and easy data access.
We offer high-level design perspective AND low-level integration knowledge. We can provide simulation in laboratory environment for development and testing of RSE and OBE interaction with system. System design and consulting clients include OEMs, tier and aftermarket suppliers and the public sector.
FEV supports ADAS programs through hardware and software designs, algorithm development, application development, testing and integration, as well as the design, development and build of automated test equipment for the modeling and simulation of a variety of different ADAS components and situations.
FEV has been involved with production validation and benchmarking of ADAS systems for different applications. We perform verification, validation, and integration of ADAS components and systems within this space.
Our approach focuses on the system as a whole and we follow our "Connected System Thinking" approach and methodology that has been presented at numerous trade shows and applied successfully on various OEM and Tier projects.
Further, FEV provides Functional Safety ISO 26262 services to a variety of different electronic design areas including ADAS, Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, and Powertrain.
