FEV Group realigns its Large Bore Engines sector

Dr. Peter Heuser takes over worldwide responsibility for the Business Unit Commercial, Industrial and Large Engines

Aachen, 11th of March 2014 – As part of an internal re-structuring at FEV Group, Dr. Peter Heuser has been assigned worldwide responsibility for the Business Unit Commercial, Industrial and Large Engines as of January 2014.

“With the re-structuring of FEV at beginning of this year, we strengthen our global presence and provide support to our customers from concept to series production”, stated Prof. Stefan Pischinger, CEO and shareholder of FEV GmbH.

After completing his studies at RWTH Aachen University, Dr. Heuser worked in positions of increasing responsibility in engineering services, including more than 10 years at FEV, for the global automotive and motor industry. In 2005, Dr. Heuser was global Director in charge of Heavy Duty and Large Engines at a well-known European engineering company and was later appointed Managing Director.

After returning to FEV in 2013, Dr. Heuser was put in charge of the division of Commercial, Industrial and Large Engines, which he consistently expanded. An important milestone was the establishment of FEVs Single Cylinder Engine family as a universal development construction kit, providing a close connection to customers.

“The proximity to the customers and the local markets is especially important for the development of Commercial vehicle and Industrial engines”, Dr. Heuser explained. “Only in this way, FEV can act as a global player responding to local peculiarities.”
