    • You are responsible for FEV's middleware system, which is to be provided as a managed service for colleagues in FEV IT
    • You are responsible for middleware service strategy, service roadmap, priority management, budgets, negotiations with partners and suppliers as well as release approvals of new features
    • You drive service maturity for the middleware system
    • As a service owner for FEV's middleware, you bridge projects, application owners, and middleware suppliers by translating functional and non-functional requirements into technical specifications that can be implemented by FEV's middleware suppliers
    • You enforce demand-driven, but ideally predictable, supplier utilization for reliable capacity management and cost forecasting
    • If required, you organize and execute (agile) implementation projects together with the supplier's implementation team
    • You will work in coordination with colleagues from the Data Management, Enterprise Architecture Management, Business Application and Engineering IT teams to deliver a solution that supports the FEV digitization strategy in all areas
    • You will be responsible for vendor selection, contract process, and monitoring SLAs, budget, and contract closeout
    • You manage and continuously optimize the associated middleware software licenses
    • Responsible for the installation, commissioning and day to day operation of our engine Test Cells  
    • Programming and monitoring of drive cycles 
    • Maintenance of engine and Test Cell 
    • You are responsible for the development of powertrain components
    • You will be component responsible until SOP and monitor the KPI-status regarding targets, timing, FMEA and component availability for testing
    • You will communicate and present the project progress and results

    • You will be handling and coordinating suppliers, clients and internal departments (CAE etc.)
    • You will create technical documentation like e.g. decision matrices and be responsible for creating presentations and presenting the status internally as well as to suppliers/customers

    • Development and application of the current and future requirements for Functional Safety (ISO 26262) for ePowertrain systems, e-machines, power electronics, battery and fuel cell systems and their controls 
    • Ensure compliance with the relevant safety standards 
    • Create/review & maintain Item definition, Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment. 
    • Develop/review Functional Safety concept & Technical safety concept 
    • Analyse and define Safety requirements (Functional Safety requirements and Technical safety requirements) 
    • Conduct Safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, HAZOP) 
    • Leading technical discussions with suppliers & customers on Functional Safety. 
    • Performing or supporting Tool evaluation & qualification 
    • Creating the test cases for verification and validation of safety requirements. 
    • Support functional safety audits and assessments 
    • Support Functional Safety manager in development of safety plan and safety case. 
    • Test and validate e-powertrain systems and vehicle application features 
    • Specification and automation of test cases in close coordination with the function developers 
    • Execution of automated and manual tests on HiLs, PiLs and in vehicles 
    • Creation of test reports, plans, analysis of quality defects, tracking of defects found and communication to support resolution 
    • As part of our team, you will actively participate in the development of future gasoline and hybrid powertrains and support ongoing projects in mechanics development.
    • Depending on your skills and personal interests you will support us with

       

      • the modeling and simulation (FEA / CFD / MBS) of engine components and drive systems
      • the evaluation, processing and documentation of calculation results
      • the development and programming of macros
      • the measurement, documentation and analysis of mechanical components

    • Working closely with our experienced project engineers, you will gain deep insights into modeling, simulation and design of modern passenger car and large bore engines.
    • You implement, monitor and operate digital workplace technologies (endpoint hardware, software, services and SaaS tools)
    • You integrate digital workplace technologies with adjacent technologies (identity, security, vulnerability management, IT service and asset management, remote access, backup, directory services, etc)
    • You ensure stability and security of digital workplace technology through effective endpoint management and timely patching
    • You establish computing configuration and operating standards in coordination with IT colleagues
    • You execute digital workplace technology projects
    • You actively participate in resolving high-priority outages, troubleshooting efforts, and capacity/availability planning sessions
    • You support security operations processes by monitoring and reporting anomalies related to devices and identities
    • You monitor technology trends and seek ways to enhance continuous improvement initiatives
    • You assess criticality of services and applications and automates testing of those deemed critical before patching and upgrades
    • You provide IT support for issues escalated from level 1 or level 2
    • You act as a mentor for the Digital Workplace Operations team, forming a tight partnership for the mutual success of the teams. Ensure information is flowing freely between the teams to minimize siloed operations and engineering

       

    • You create architecture designs for various projects and FEV in-house developments, taking into account current cloud technologies and the FEV architecture guidelines
    • You evaluate the use of technological frameworks in a structured and systematic manner
    • You stand by the business areas as a technological consultant and support them, for example, in the modernization of applications and design migration scenarios towards the cloud
    • Together with other FEV departments, you define global governance for the various technologies and platforms, communicate this and represent it to management and in the specialist teams
    • You are responsible for the tool portfolio, which is used company-wide in software development, develop it further and consolidate where necessary
    • You regularly engage in a proactive exchange with IT Security and our business areas and ensure that both business and security requirements are taken into account in projects
    • You control and coordinate external partners who are available to support you or implement projects
