From a humble beginning as a small group of combustion researchers in the 1970’s, FEV has grown to become a rapidly expanding, global engineering consultancy with technical centers on three continents.   Today, the company supports many industries and works in many fields and technical disciplines, but the core capabilities of the company remain firmly grounded in the combustion engine, and particularly with the automotive industry.

For nearly 30 years, FEV has partnered with the automotive industry across the globe, providing critically needed services where required.  Our philosophy has not changed over those 30 years.  We believe in providing the best possible customer value.  We have adapted and remained flexible so that we could continually provide services meeting our customer’s needs.  And, today, that remains our only true measure of customer satisfaction – we have been successful when our customers needs have been met and they have successfully launched their new products.  Nothing else counts.

FEV has come a long way from its foundation in combustion research.  Today, we offer state-of-the-art services and products to our automotive industry partners.  Our services begin with concept studies to look at new engines, future emissions and fuel concepts, as well as component design, CAE analyses, and benchmarking.  They extend to pre-production development activities such as performance, emissions, and NVH development, frictional system optimization, mechanical development, packaging and durability testing.  FEV supports its automotive customers through the start-of-production with activities such as calibration for drivability, OBD, NVH and emissions, weak point and wear analysis, in-field testing and troubleshooting, and pre-release testing.

Hundreds of times every year, FEV provides project results in the form of integrated engineered solutions such as the development of new prototypes, complete pre-production development and off-tool engine application engineering for new vehicles or adaptation to new markets or legislative requirements.  We have demonstrated the ability to perform complete engine design and development programs from concept layout to SOP in timeframes that are unmatched by most of our OEM customers.  And yet, it doesn’t matter to FEV whether we are working on a full engine development program, or troubleshooting a problem with a production component.  You will always receive the same, high level of quality and commitment in the services that you receive from FEV because you’re our customer – and customer satisfaction is everything.
